Documented services
A-LIGN's company overview describes SOC 1 and SOC 2 audit services, ISO certification, and its A-SCEND compliance management platform. Scope each assessment and any technology separately rather than treating the service catalog as a bundled engagement.
Engagement considerations
Bring the customer's requested report, your service boundary, known gaps, and target delivery date. Ask the firm to explain the proposed reporting period and what must be operating before examination work can proceed. Identify who issues the report and who handles readiness or remediation.
If the proposal includes A-SCEND or another compliance platform, confirm required access, migration work, evidence export, and how your existing tools fit. Request a walkthrough of an anonymized evidence request, correction, and report review.
Questions to verify in a consultation
- Which legal entity issues the report, and where can its current credentials be checked?
- Who leads and reviews the examination?
- Which platform access and onboarding work are required?
- How are incomplete evidence, scope changes, and delays handled?
- Which fees cover examination, readiness, software, and follow-up work?
Scope to confirm
Record report type, criteria, systems, period, milestones, staffing, deliverables, and exclusions. Ask for a written explanation of responsibilities and independence where advisory services are involved. Verify credentials directly for the issuing entity; this profile summarizes public materials and does not establish suitability for your engagement.
